i think i updated him to the point that i'm happy and his design isn't completely pointless.
one of my only original characters for a comic book idea i had way back in the day. the character appearance and powers have change significantly over the years. here's the background

started off with a spandex outfit with a cloak and he had green lanternish type powers...cept without the ring.

he then had the same costume but had the power to open up portals/rifts though space.

next version had him as a runaway from home who was picked up by a government agency, semi-brainwashed, and given armor that would allow him to rift like before... he escapes and fights crime with two of his friends that were captured with him. eh. gen13 rip off.

next version was similar cept he joined the military, then ended up being almost brainwashed, got suit, friends and him escape...fight crime... yadda yadda.

now... uhm... he has no powers except for an uncanny understanding of machinery. story is more set in the distant future where humanity fights a war against an alien race. he manages to build his own mech (of course... i'm a mecha fan... why not?) using scrapped parts he finds in junkyards near an old military base. then... sets out into battle to ... uhm... do good stuff. still gotta design his robot. more than likely, it'll be a piece of junk that he is always improving and upgrading. it'll look good on the outside, but that's about it... however wes doesn't care, he'll still think he's a hero. XD maybe i'll give the mech all the abilties previous versions of my character had before.

it's not original... but eh. i'll probably change it again in a few years. this is just something i like to have fun with.
