when drawn, the bowstring is caught in the valleys (or creases) the first knuckles of the curled Index and Middle fingers. when you release the taut bowstring, you want to provide as little surface resistance as possible; a clean release aids in accuracy. just something for consideration.

dude how you do the chain mail ? is there a brush or technique ? nice work

For the chainmail, I start with a custom Photoshop brush ( its a couple consecutive "C" shapes that I paint back and forth), then add some highlights and shading.
