This is a very striking picture, almost surreal somehow.
I don't know what the bird is but I would have guessed it to be from the Anhinga family (AKA: Snakebird, Darter, American Darter, or Water Turkey). I can't tell if it has long skinny legs (like a stork or heron) or shorter legs (like a shag/cormorant, or anhinga)

It was pretty cool how he had his wings spread, he didnt seem to care that i was standing literally 2 feet behind him,
