Description I drew this two months ago but just finished it now! I loove how it rains on the Grid, it adds so much to the atmosphere. And the Blade Runner raincoats & umbrellas are such an awesome tribute (I just saw Blade Runner for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was sooo cool!!) So I thought I'd give Quorra her own little raincoat.

Oh yeah, and DID EVERYONE SEE THE NEWS!?!!? They're going forward with TRON 3!! Seriously the best news ever yesterday, I'm still so happy. I can't wait to see where they'll take the story next! And I can't wait to see Quorra hugging a toaster on the big screen!

D'awww, this is so adorable! I have to admit though, that I wasn't too keen on the idea of "rain" in the Tron Cyberspace... or Tron-Street-Bums... but still, it's sci-fi, and anything goes. And the movie was still awesome!

Honestly I think the whole rain-raincoat-umbrella atmosphere was one big Bladerunner tribute But it is a tad confusing, I mean, its a computer, and computers+water=TERRIBLENESS but at the same time I thought, "hey, what if it's just refined energy falling from the sky and charging the programs?" According to the lore, the rain literally is energy raining down from the skies. "...though it isn't harmful to programs, they may find it somewhat unpleasant..."

Though given the state of dystopia and heavy sci-fi setting, the rain is perfect for the tone of the story.

(Sure enough though, you managed to take a somber setting and make it pleasant with your pic: Well done.)

Haha I shall explain! In December 2010 I found a Tron Legacy interview with Olivia Wilde in a magazine. She was asked what Quorra would do if she broke out into the real world, and Olivia replied, "She would go to an Apple Store and start speaking to all the computers, and then she'd go hug a toaster." Also in a filmed interview when she was asked about where Quorra would go from here (post-Legacy), she said she'd be excited to see Quorra making sense of her new life outside the Grid and hugging toasters. Haha so now that Tron 3 is definitely in the works, I really hope Olivia can get a say in with the writers so they write that in hahaha
