Description Rear view

This was my month long experiment with layering and blending. I wanted to take it up a level from my usual tabletop quality. The results are a bit dubious, but it is significantly sharper than my usual stuff.

The model itself was a limited release that came with significantly large purchases from the Games Workshop website. I've had it sitting around for over a year now.

I REALLY like the metal work on the chest, belt buckle and leg.

Is the base part of the figure or added?

The big aquilla he's got his foot in is part of the mini, the other stuff is knick-knacks and some bits from the DA upgrade sprue.

Ahh - then I haven't seen him before - I should check the GW site for new(ish) releases lol
(Or is he limited edition?)

As far as I know, he was only available for a brief time from the GW website when you bought $100 or more, and I've only seen him that one time. I suppose he could've been offered at other times too, though.

If I was to give advice, I'd say that in places the paint when on too thick - notably the glove, try thinning it down, for real nice blending you're looking at getting the paint to the same thickness as milk

oh nice, was blending hard to achieve?

In practicality, it's probably not especially difficult to do what I did, but the fact that I'd never done anything like that before made it difficult for me.
I did a lot of Googling and forum hopping, finding stuff and going "now how the eff did he do that?!"
