Description I like cobblestone roads. Until I fall and skin my knee and all the rocks get in there. That's nasty... XDDD Anyways, here's a new tutorial! This one is made on Adobe cs2 so the pic i'm making on my computer which has the Adobe 4.0 isn't as good with the cobblestones... XDDD the cs2 is at my school.... *sigh* *waits for christmas* Oh, and FULL VIEW PLEEEEEASE! If it's too dark, please tell me and feel free to suggest other tips. I love making these tutorials... XD

Have you considered using this for scales? It seems like a way more efficient and selective way of applying detail to your scaly beasts.

Epic tutorial is epic :'DD

I'm trying it right now, though I use Sai so I don't have the miraculous smudge tool so I used some weird tool, and I didn't need to make the lines. But I found that idea awesome, how did you come up with this xD?

I know this is an old tutorial, but any chance you can explain the technique to number three? Circular motions, up and down? I can't seem to get it.

Wow awsome, not many people do tutorails on these kind of things, yet in my opinon these are some of the harder things to do when it comes to back grounds. Also it's very well explained, most other tutorails i have to reread to get them and stuf lastly for the smudge tool! lol

*squints* I can't read it... at ALL.

Rules of Designing (found at [link] ): If you use a dark background NEVER use a dark text. You wont be able to read it. Use a light color. If you use a LIGHT background NEVER us a LIGHT text or a BLINDING text. You'll kill your readers. I was looking forward to this tut as well. :\

I'm sorry. I have the .psd file at school. I'll re-do the text in there. I had a dark brown background with a light tan text. Some ppl can read it on some computers and some not. I'll take a look at your link and tweak it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Your welcome. ^_^ It bugs me when people make tutorials and websites that you just can't read... it comes with being a webdesigner myself... I live for making layouts and stuff ... but yeah... color harmony should always be kept in mind. ^_^
