Description
This is a commission for ~Bansheeda of a set of leather dragon wings and a tail! Definitely a bit different from my feathered bird wings
Hand-tooled and shaped 7-oz leather and painted with acrylics, with stone and metal beads.

And such a wonderful way to use up the left over "eyes" and little extra bits of leather. That is always my biggest question. I have literally hundreds of eyes and besides doing a few leaf pins, I'm at a loss as to what to do with them.

Super funky bren! Adding to the suggestions, you could also use a bead braiding technique called Kumihimo with these funky scale-like beads for the tail sections too... It ends up looking like the bottom braid in this image: [link]

Agreed about the claw idea. Though for some reason I would have seen a scale here, instead. A big one so you can see all the nice shiny details

A scale could work, too! I have plenty of iridescent, metallic and interference pigments to make it a very beautiful scale.

Bird wing necklaces are $85 (except for the hummingbird wings, which are $80). They all include two wings, a hanging feather (or in the case of the dragon, a tail), whatever beads you want and your choice of silvertone, bronzetone, or black gunmetal chain. If you want sterling silver chain instead, it's an extra $15.
