Description "No you fools! You've got the wrong one!!!" D:

Howard!Holmes being caught and hold tight by Watson and Duncan!Lestrade in "The Imposter Mystery". I loved that episode. xD
Someone had disguised himself as Holmes to trick a client and Lestrade and when they stand face to face he smashed the light and Watson and Lestrade mixed the two Holmes' up and .... well... catch the wrong one... xD

And I forgot to mention the most important thing with this picture! This is for who I miss. D:

Holmes, Watson, Lestrade (c) A.C.Doyle

The Constable in the Episode was right when he said "when this is the false Holmes, where is the real one" *lol* the Faces of Lestrade and Watson were Priceless *lol* it Captions the Moment realy realy good! <3Β
(btw a tiny question: do you say Lestade on the american way or do you say Lestraaad like the french way? - I prefer Lestraad - like the frogware Holmes calls him )

I suppose you can say Lestrade any way, but I prefer the long a at the end, too. Too bad, Doyle did not add a phonetic reading of the names to the canon. XD

XD i think all Holmesians outhere would go crazy, if someday appear the complete Canon as Audiobookss with the Voice of Doyle XD. Β Sherlock Holmes - and the Case of the lost Doyle recordings XD

It is! It's so good that it doesn't make any difference that stories are just made up. And I so much prefer Ron Howard as Holmes than Jeremy Brett. I know what people say about him, but he's just not my Holmes.

Jeremy Brett is awesome, no question. But the more Holmeses I see the less one single actor can be THE Holmes. Howard is my favourite too, at the moment, but I love them all.

Today I went to my favourite discount bookstore, sometimes they have there movies also. I found dvd with 5 eps of Howard's Holmes for 1.99GBP O_O That's called luck, I'm still in shock. And all started from that picture

You're right that for one person it's hard to present all of Holmes complicated personality. For now I think I'm most impressed with Cumberbatch, even if he lacks one or two of Holmes characteristics.

But Ronald Howard is right on the second place ^^

BC is just not my Holmes in any way, even worse than Downey Jr.,Syder, Everett, CleeseΒ or Cook, though I don't and won't consider time setting as important, but agree with you on RH and JB xD

Cumberbatch is just as amazing as all the others. I had a hard time to somehow get used to his look, I mean his hair, it's such a mess! But he is a modern take, so there is no way of having his hair as the Victorian Holmes has. Besides, even though we still recognise him as Holmes, and that I think is remarkable. :3
The Sherlock I like least is Robert Downey Junior. He doesn't particularly look like Holmes, nor does he act him as brilliantly as other actors. :/ But.... he still is a Holmes. So he is accepted as that in my heart.

Oh no, for Mr RDJ there's no place on my Holmes list. I don't mind actor, I just don't think his way of acting is suitable for Holmes. For me all idea of modern narration in Victorian setting is the biggest mistake of that movie. But well, it seems to have lots of fans anyway, who (without reading books) thinks that THIS is the real Holmes. Well, we know better.

Look of the actor always plays less important role if his acting is suitable. Ever seen russian version? Vasily Livanov is quite short and in last movies seems too old, but with his charismatic way of acting he's third on my list.

Well... hm... I've got others that I like better than RDJ as Holmes, true. But I would not totally wipe him off the Holmes actor list. xD
No, I haven't seen the Russian version yet. I would like to one day.

Hehe.. that is an old series from 1954 with Ronald Howard as Sherlock Holmes, called The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. They're all 30 minute episodes and even though not exactly canon like, very charming and amusing to watch. And Ronald is such a sweet likable Holmes. xD And Watson is goood! Better than many other Watsons...
