my dad does the site is randyswoods.com to cut down on sanding, you can router the edges of each piece with a 3/4 round bit and/or use a dremel if you dont have a router.

OH heavens NO! I am very much a crafter myself. It is very clear that the wood pieces are laid down beautifully and the real Moss is again a nice touch. I can see however you might think that since I am a photographer that uses photoshop. I am also one that tends to wonder if one thinks my images are cloned and so forth. I guess it come with the knowledge of so much altering techniques that people are capable of. Overlay is a common craft word too. L.O.L. Again wonderful craftsman ship.

I think form your comment you may be thinking this photo is altered in some way. But this is just the way the tree was. Just a plain old digital picture. I am afriad I would not know how to alter it anyway.

This is wonderful. Am I right in stating this is a piece of wood that you have craved out and maybe coloured?

Yes I start with one piece of maple in this case. Then after they are all cut out i stain them differant colors. Then you glue them all back in place at differant levels, dark in the back, med middle, and light towards the front. And your done. Only took me FOREVER!!!

Thanks!! You would laugh becuase it was all done on another piece of wood and Pat accidently hit it and it fell and broke and I had to do almost all of it over again
