Wasn't going to put this up here tonight. Was going to go to sleep. But then my insecurities kicked me in the pants. Especially because this one hasn't really gotten many comments on the (admittedly, new) community I originally posted it to... anyways, I'm a gibbering ball of 'omg, should I not have posted this? Is it the sucks? Should I swear off colored pencils and prismacolor markers for all time?'-ness.So if you're looking at this, *please* review. And fullview. I'll... do nice things for you! Your wish will be my command~

-poor Brian got axed at the last minute for looking like a deranged Harry Potter clone. I should've gone with Poonchy, Drinker of Hate >_<
-and melvin looks nothing like melvin. that kid does not translate to realism easily
-then again neither does Zim
-on that note, the big Zim dilemma was: do I make his eyes small because everyone else's eyes got tiny due to pathetic attempts at realism? *heck* no. so he's got great big contacts with little tiny eyes drawn at their epicenters. hey, nobody but Dib has ever cared about his lack of ears... it's all good, yes?

the profile of zim's face looks odd, mostly because it kind of caves in at his eye but other than that it looks pretty awesome! i absolutely love dib, very nice, and i like the way you gave the characters a realistic look. dibs eyes look a little squinty, like they're closed. but you obviously have talent, good job! great fandom to draw. keep it up!

Wow, the picture wouldn't have been good with just Dib and Zim, but you also put some of the Skool kids in too, that's just...better!

It's beautiful! I admit I couldn't tell who melvin was but besides Zim and Dib, Rita was the first one I recognized!
My only critique (... how do you spell that?!) is that zim doesn't look like he fits. I suppose he doesn't really but he just looks a little... wonky. Anyway, what do I know? This picture is beautiful and I want more Zim arts! I command it!

Wow, this is interesting. seeing dib like that makes me wanna do a Harry Potter/ Zim crossover...
I know Zim has no nose and all, but I think if oyu tilted or turned his head slightly, it have have read better. The tongue coming through kinda looks a little funny, but apart from that its excellent.
And if you want people to review, you should check the box that says Advance critique encouraged.
Either that, or I'm jumping the gun and being all critiquey when I shouldnt be...

Hee. I want to say that such a thing already exists, but I could be wrong. Kinda makes me want to draw Harry so I could see how different I could make him from my Dib...
And while I appreciate the suggestion, I think I'm okay with the "Critique Welcome." I'm usually rather down on myself in my commentary, but I don't mind the random 'wowie!' comments if that's all people have to say.
Of course, I also don't mind crit ^.~ I totally get what you're saying about the tongue, though- there doesn't actually seem to be any gap in the teeth for it to come through, where if I'd tipped the head I could've detailed Zim's mouth more.

Wow, you're WAY too critical of yourself! This pic is totally awesome. In the first glance, I knew who was who, Melvin and Zeta are perfect! (yes, I did know that was melvin the second I saw him, *G*) I love your style, and the way you work with colour is incredible. You've brought the medium of pencilcrayon to new worlds, I didn't think it was possible for pencil crayon to look THAT good. I think my favourite thing of all about the pic is Dib and the way he's coloured and shaded. In fact, just for this one pic alone, I've put you on my deviantwatch. You're an amazing artist.
