Haha. I totally get it.
Although some parts are a little hard to make out at a quick glance, I really like the style you used here, and Greyscale looks great. I also know what you mean when you say that the pose was a little hard for you to work with. I have tried a dragon pose similar to this before... it was an epic fail on my part...

The pose may have been hard--but it paid off! You've created something almost iconic...it makes sense as part of the scene, but could also be pulled out to form a logo or an emblem for that group.
