History:

Liana grew up in the Hearts fraction, her mother and father being of high social standing. Growing up she was mostly left alone, her parents spending more time at social gatherings then with their own child. Books became her friends and the Maze became her playground. As the role-less servants would look after her, she learned that all lives are important. She believes the Red Queen is a disgrace to the Heart fraction, as she beheads all who displeases her without second thought. She views the servants as her only family and cannot even remember the faces of her parents as they have just faded into the background. They do not exist to her. One day while in the Maze she met a boy. This boy was like her in many ways; he was lonely. He hailed from the fraction of Spades, he was orphaned and secluded. He starved and craved for friendship. She offered him tea. They became fast friends and played in the Maze for hours, and day by day she learned more and more about this boy. Liana truly had a friend to depend on. But one day while the Queen was having tea in the Maze garden, the boy attacked her with a hidden dagger. He was swiftly cut down by the Queen’s Knight, without being speared a glace by the Queen. As if was never there. Liana could not possibly understand why he would do such a thing. Did he do it for revenge, money, or glory? She could only think of why but not understand. From that day forward she was granted the role of Little Duchess, she doesn’t understand why but knows her life is meaningful and is a player in the game. She is still bitter over the death of her childhood friend but hides it well. She will use her role to discover why he attempted to do such a thing.
