Once again I remebered I haven't done my challenge list so I continued on it.

#11 Fawlty Towers

Fawlty Towers is a British sitcom which run from 1975 to 1979. It was voted fifth in the BBC's "Britain's Best Sitcom" poll in 2004 and I have no doubt about it. This serie IS hilarious.

It's about the fictional hotel Fawlty Towers in the seaside town of Torquay on the "English Riviera" and it's the most horrible hotel ever. It is owned by Basil Fawlty (played by John Cleese) and his wife Sybil (Cleese's ex-wife Prunella Scales). Basil is the one who always gets into a trouble (by his cheapness or misunderstood) and tries to hide it from his wife. He also loses his mind with his employee Manuel (Andrew Sachs) who only speaks spanish and doen't really have any clue what's going on. Sometimes mr. Fawlty gets rescued by waitress Polly Sherman (Connie Booth), the only wise person in that building, but usually it doesn't make day any better.

Doesn't this sound a perfect disaster? That's why it's funny as hell.
It's well written and the characters are just wonderful. All the jokes are brilliant and actors are making awesome job. Eventhough it has only 12 episodes it's worth to watch.

I don't really have favorite episodes but I liked the scene where germans where coming to visit. Mr. Fawlty was out of his mind (really badly) and started to act like an idiot. After few embarrasing scenes he finally fainted and the germans asked:
"How did those win that war?"
Genius.

That was the serie, now the picture.
Well, it's mr. Fawlty (tall guy) and Manuel. Like I said before Manuel doesn't speak english (or at least not well) and that pisses his boss everytime. (Seriosly, why did Fawlty hired him in a first place?) Their relationship is mostly like it is in this pic.
