Developed directly from the Black Sun's specifications, the Tsushima, while being the Blue Dragon Clan's first umbra (as well as the first umbra to be developed outside the Terran Empire), could be considered the Pirate Clan's rendition of the former vessel. While the shipbuilders at Kure were unable to wholly replicate the Black Sun's arcane technologies, the Tsushima is nonetheless as capable in her own right. As is the defining feature of the umbra, the Tsushima was meant primarily for stealth operations. Equipped with a cloaking system, the Tsushima can turn invisible to sensors (including ocular ones), while her similarly resistant hull makes her nigh undetectable even when uncloaked. Like the Sun however, her shields and weapons are powerful enough that she can engage other combatants in traditional battle, while also retaining her own version of the Moebius regeneration system, which allows the Tsushima to address and repair any damage without the need of a tender or shipyard. Combined with her ability to carry up to two fighter squadrons as well as shuttlecraft, the Tsushima is a very close match to the Black Sun, as well as one of the most advanced Blue Dragon ships to date.

Captained by Lord Fuma's son and heir apparent, Fuma Kazama, the Tsushima would make her official debut in the Longtaitou, the private war between the Flint Pirates and the Red Phoenix Clan. Operating alongside her older sister in a multitude of raids within the Red Phoenix's core territory, the Tsushima would perform excellently from beginning to end, culminating in her and the Sun sinking the Red Phoenix dreadnought Guangdong over Gaochang IV.
