Description So here is my rendition of the devil. Who said his eyes have to be blood red? They might as well be icy blue.
Dear Lucifer turned out to be a real bishie! No need for horns, hoofs, wings or tail - those are just human misperceptions about him anyway. Oh well, I guess his looks make it easier for him to seduce us into giving away our immortal souls.

My first time drawing flames - not very pleased with the result though.

Whoa-ho-hoo! Wow. Nice work; it does mention in the bible that before Satan got all jealous and was cast out of heaven that he was the most beautiful angel. As the devil, it does make more sense for him to be a hottie rather than appear as something repulsive.

Is this an original character of yours?
I don't know if I said it already, maybe I did but, you're SO talented!
His hair, face, body... It has a really realistic look! I loved the hair!
And I think the flames are well done. It looks like they were a pain to do, right?
I wish I could do traditional art like this. T__T I just prefer digital because during school days it's the best because of the lack of time I have. Digital art is faster to do.
Can't wait to see more and more from you!

Here, I've changed it. The difference is barely noticeable, but I think now it looks better.

Actually I didn't notice his body was a little bit darker. But I can tell the drawing looks bright and I love the colours.
It still looks beautiful as before! ^o^

Thanks! Yes, you may say it's an original character. Though I used a few references to make the realistic style more accurate, but he doesn't look like any of them. That's how I imagined him looking, but to tell the truth he turned out hotter than I initially intended. I might replace this picture with the slightly lighter one, because I think his body is too dark.

Do you think it's hard to draw a realistic portrait?
To be honest, I never tried to draw a realistic portrait of anyone. So, I'm thinking in drawing one of my Japanese idol Yukito Nishii. I would love to draw him!

Well, the realistic style is very different from the anime style. First thing, there are no lines, everything is done just by shading. Lots and lots of shading of different darkness. The proportions are very important too, everything needs to be the right size. For practice you just take your favorite photo and try to replicate it. If needed, measure the correct proportions with the ruler. Later on it gets easier to do just by looking at it. Good luck!

Oh I see.
I am actually drawing realism in my art lessons but it's not people. It's the bones structure of the hand, foot and head.

The funny thing is I was imagining talking to him while drawing this. He's just a lonely, bitter, sarcastic and deeply bored individual. Us lowly humans are of little interest to him, he knows us inside out after thousands of years taking care of our sinful souls. Yet he hasn't lost the capability of understanding love - he used to be an angel after all.
