Description Thank you for loving me,
For being my eyes when I couldn't see...
(Bon Jovi)

Well, I don't think the guy is really blind. More like "blindfolded", unable to see the pain and affections of those next to him. But the girl is still there, in spite of her suffering hoping against hope for him to open his eyes. Haven't we encountered a situation like that many times in our lives?..

A wonderful lineart [link] by , which I was trying to do justice, but realized too late that I'd actually picked a Christmas color palette for coloring it. Now they look like a very worried Mrs. Claus and a blind Rudolph. An illicit affair perhaps? Now that would be some story. One way or another, this sleigh is bound to crash.

Haha, thanks. Now that I've unwittingly done something Christmas-y, I can put that aside and start drawing non-holiday related stuff.

Aww I didn't even think about Christmas when looking at this piece before. You did a nice and delicate job on the coloring though, I'm sure that tincek-marincek will enjoy it.

Oh my GOD
First of all I need to compose myself after that "Mrs. Claus and Rudolph affair" comment But this is so gorgeously colored!!! I think you did the lineart justice, for sure. And I actually like the color palette, gives me a peppermint vibe >u<

Halloween is over and if we skip the Thanksgiving Day, we're almost there.

The lineart was actually meant for a contest (it's already over though), but I liked it enough to just color it anyway. I read a comment of one contestant, that went along the lines of "I looked at other contestants' shiny pictures and non-glitchy computers, then looked at my low-quality one, looked at their tablets and superior tools, then looked at my Crayola pencils...". You know, that really made me mad. I think it gave me more motivation to color this piece, if only just to prove that mere Crayola pencils can make a picture look no less "shiny" than digital means. I'm sorta protective of my pencils, haha.

Oh goodness, the age old comparisons of digital vs. traditional. Honestly, I like both each for their own reasons. It takes an immense amount of skill but also passion for the art itself and that's what gives each piece it's value whether it's drawn on the computer or paper. Your gallery is proof that pencils are powerful indeed
