First of all, I love the pastel colors and the pose you used. Her clothes are cool and the way Snivy comes closer in view is masterly. I think the background could be a cooler color like blue so the character with it's warm colors would pop out even more. I also think the main character isn't the center in this picture. When you take a first glance at this picture she is not the first thing you look at. The Snivy gets my attention first and then when I look longer I slowly move on to the girl. Your technique is good and I really love the colors. Overall you did a good job in this fan art ^^. Also I don't understand why you put stars in the background. There is nowhere a star to be found in the 2 characters. Instead you could have put leaves or PokΓ©balls behind it which would make more sense.

Very Nice. This is my first time giving a critique so here goes...

I love how you did the background, it blends in with the picture and adds to it. Usually, when I see backgrounds they generally don't add anything to the picture, or take away from the picture in some way.

The poses also fit very nicely between trainer and pokemon. Whenever doing a picture that features more than one person (or pokemon in this case) it can be very hard to find a pose that works for both of them as it could be very easy to accidently cause one to overshadow the other. I think you found the perfect pose to show off White as well as her Snivy.

In terms of the coloring/shading/etc. while it isn't the style I prefer to use, I believe that the way you shaded and colored your picture was simple. Which is better in some cases because your picture looks like it came directly from one of the pokemon art books.
