I would imagine that the crawlspace beneath a railway bridge (but atop it's supports) would make for a clever home-base for inventive wastelanders. It'd only be accessible from underneath and even then, a pony would need wings to fly up atop the support pylon.
I dunno, just a quick thought I had while exploring an old railroad bridge out in the countryside a few years back.

It's a custom map that I put together in Hammer specifically for this scene, the props, pony, and lighting were added in SFM. (The name I gave the map was: 'sfm_railway_bridge.vmf')
