Hi all!
Today I wanted to make a drawing for the kanji of like, be fond of, "suki": 好き
On this wiki en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E5%A5%… it says that it represents "女 (“woman”) + 子 (“child”)."
Here: www.romajidesu.com/kanji/%E5%A… it says that it means "fond; pleasing; like something"

When you like something or someone very much, then it's Daisuki (大好き).

To remember we can consider,
- To like something, or to be fond of something, is what is usually seem when an woman and a child are together, since woman nurture childrens and give birth to them, necessarily with the birth skill of nurturing a baby inside of herself for months, supposes a natural affection and protectiveness by familiarity and awareness of it's fragility, kind of. Although it isn't the reality 100% of the times, that's what I can see in this kanji glyph origin.
