I will tell you, my work process is the following: first I try to imagine an easy pose, then I make the basic sketch, then I correct it, in that I use 3 layers (at the end there is one layer that is the lineart) for colors it is exactly the same. For clothes I use the basic color and 2 layers of shadow, 1 of light. the same for skin and hair
