partial metal wire frame
sculpting ~16 hours
painting - acrylics 1.5 hours
to be honest, i was dreading painting this so i put it off for a while
i had absolutely no clue how to get that
metallic-shiny-bio-metal-whatever effect
to my surprise it came out much much better then i had dared to hope and it was quite simple to achieve
i worked carefully and gradients of silver and black with very thin washes working up to the color slowly, then applied some coats of satin varnish and it was done
i love the result and get a kick watching it, hope you like it too ^^
