Nice interpretation of a classic scene, but I just have to mention the wrong cutie mark.

As I mention in the comments on This View Rocks : The cutie mark from show is too low quality to go by, so I went by this . Until we get a good look at it in show, there's going to be debate over it, but that's the closest I could find to a clear depiction from an "official" source

Fair argument, but I believe the cutie mark from the show [Link]  depicts just enough information to indicate Tom, not only in the overall shape, but also in the way of the visible lighting blobs (not to mention it makes more sense than a diamond). Ultimately it's your choice however. Hopefully we get a clear answer about it sometime.

Yes, that's the picture used when someone commented before. And I agree it looks a lot like Tom, but it was only visible for a frame or two, is still low quality, and seems to me more like someone on the crew having a bit of fun. As to the stone diamond: Maud's tough as diamonds, can eat gems, and drill through solid rock in seconds - much like a diamond drill - makes sense to me.

As I said, it can be argued either way: That tiny glimpse from the show arguing for Tom, and the (theoretically) official toy released in only one small market on the opposite side of the planet from show headquarters.

On the bright side, the image is done in layers, so once we get a reliable and clear answer I could always change it.

Gotta watch those updrafts. Or air vents, as it were.
