Description Yay! Haku, the dragon from Spirited Away, here in mini clay form!
This took me about five or six hours to complete from start to finish, I started at about ten or ten-thirty and finished at about two-thirty, that includes the thirty minutes it took to bake the clay and make it hard.

I started by rolling out the white clay to make the snake-like body, then I had to pick all of the fur out of a pipe cleaner to get the bare wire in the middle, which I then stuck into the middle of the white body so as to have support.

Then I worked on the head, the size, shape, small details, the ears, etc. still only using the plain white clay. I stuck the head to the neck and then I used the grey clay to make the grey bottom of his stomach, then I mixed the blue and yellow clay to get the green blue hue I needed, and then placed a single strip along his back. Taking small twists of the green-blue clay, I placed the wavy spiky hair on top of the strip, making it stand up as I went along.

Next I did the horns, and finally the legs, which have small pieces of toothpicks in them for support. Yes, I am aware that I neglected the feet, but I wanted to bake it quickly before I lost the structure of the body.

Haku Β© whoever created him.
Clay Haku is mine.

I believe Hayao Miyazaki-san madde him. Looks pretty cool but it also looks you rushed it didn't put much detail or work into it. n_n'

I don’t really work with clay.
This was the first time in many years I had tried to make something like this, and it did take quite a few hours.

He's also very small, so I couldn't fit a whole lot of detail in there.

Indeed I agree. I should upload my clay version of Haku. But it's not actually Haku, it's just the same species of dragon as he is.

Awsome ^^, I warn you though I didn't have enough time to glaze and fire him though. Sadly...

Cute! He came out well! Are you using Sculpy? That holds up pretty well while being worked on. Fimo is similar.

I love Haku, he's just neat.

Thank you! I'm using Fimo, it was on sale for a really good price, so I snagged as much as I could .
Haku is great, he’s the coolest Japanese style dragon I’ve ever seen.

I love your avatar by the way.

Fimo is good stuff! Haku is lovely -- he can live in my local stream anytime!

Thank you very much, my avatar is from my manga, which is a fanfic about the Iron Kingdoms, featuring a very manga-ish version of myself and my old horse. I figured my mare would have loved getting dressed up in armor and prancing about.
