Description
Uru was always intended to wed Ahadi, a prince of a rival pride ever since she could remember. He was older than her by a little bit, being a cub on the cusp of preteen when she had been born. Tovu grew up alongside Uru as cubs and were childhood sweethearts despite Uru being a forbidden fruit to him. Eventually Uru and Tovu got desperate as Uru's wedding to Ahadi would approach and so begged Mohatu to let them marry instead. He knew the consequences of it and for the sake of Uru's happiness, breaks off her marriage to Ahadi in favor of Tovu. Ahadi's father was enraged by the betrayal and wasted no time declaring war on the Pridelands. Tovu volunteers to join the fight in determination to prove he is worthy of Uru, wanting to protect their vows to come. Unfortunately, Tovu is killed during the battle when the Pridelanders are tricked into a rock slide, he manages to save his pridesisters before vanishing under the debris. Unable to recover his body, they return to tell Uru and Mohatu the news of Tovu's fate. Uru is heartbroken but despite the emotional and physical toll of it all, she announces she will marry Ahadi to appease their prides and stop the fighting. Her long time bethroth is sent to the Pridelands to wed Uru and its then she meets Ahadi for the first time. She tells him from the very beginning she can never come to love Ahadi, which leaves him saddened. They however do their best to make their marriage work. Ahadi was much different from Tovu, more roughened and world-wise than her gentle and sweet Tovu. They shared one thing in common however: their passion was always hot as fire.
