Is it wrong I really like his portrayal in Lion Guard? I find him way more interesting there, not that he's bad or anything in either of the previous installments~ I think it's nice to see him getting over his insecurities and past to live up to Mufasa~Related content

Canβt judge the Lion Guard, but I would like it if Simba could get over his behaviors.
But given how you draw him a lot...how do you find good colors for Simba? He is a color pain in my mind.

Simba has his reasons. In the show he's quite forgiving of his enemies. Like Makuu. He hurt Nala but he still invited him to the Savannah Summit to try and make peace and reform the crocs bad rep. He also encouraged Kion to help the jackal pup Dogo even tho he was a Outlander.Β
I just make my own or use his cub ones plus a red mane.

But it was also a holiday for the lands...of course jackals aren't usually threats to lions, just annoyances.Β

Still, Simba gave sympathy. He could have ignored it bc Outlanders don't celebrate Kupatana. But he didn't.Β
I just eyeball until I like how it looks. Same with Nala, Kion, Kiara, etc.
