Lakefrost's application for the DarkWater-Warriors group.
Description;;
Name;; Lakefrost
Name Meaning;;
Lake - After her aunt, Quietlake
Frost - Her famous icy gaze
Clan;; ShadowClan
Age;; 27 Moons
Gender;; She-cat (she/her)
Size;; Slightly short
Rank;; Warrior
Mentor;; Maplesong
Apprentice;; Valerianpaw (Warrior-Heart127 )
Breed;; Moggie (american shorthair, abyssinian, burmese, sand cat)
Physical Appearance;; Lakefrost has a lithe and swift build, and she's a little smaller than most cats. Her long legs and tail give her good speed, and she is among the fastest of ShadowClan. Her pelt is a light brown color, splotched with tan and striped with a darker brown. Her left ear bears a small nick in it, a battle scar from her days as an apprentice. Her eyes are what make Lakefrost well-known among the Clans - rare is it for another cat to have such piercing blue eyes. Their depths are easily to become transfixed by, and any cat would feel menacing under one of her famous glares. Her nose and paw pads share the same rocky gray, and her fur is short and sleek. Her ears and muzzle are typically-sized, neither standing out too much.
Accessories;; N/A
Abilities and Beliefs;;
Strength;;
(81) - Lakefrost is a strong she-cat, with powerful muscles rippling under her brown fur.
Adaptability;;
(17) - She's never done well with change and prefers things to stay as they are.
Thinking;;
(49) - Intelligence isn't her strongest aspect, but she isn't daft and knows how to work things out.
Speed;;
(69) - Lakefrost is a very fast she-cat, running almost as fast as her WindClan rivals.
Night Vision;;
(80) - Being a ShadowClan cat, Lakefrost's night vision is quite high.
Swimming;;
(20) - She doesn't like to swim and isn't neccesarily good at it, but will if she has to.
Climbing;;
(50) - Once again, Lakefrost doesn't like being somewhere without grass under her paws, but does know how to climb trees.
Fighting;;
(80) - Lakefrost is a fierce warrior and a strong fighter. Her fangs and claws are all she needs.
Stalking;;
(36) - Hunting isn't her specialty and neither is stalking, but Lakefrost can serve her Clan by providing prey.
Hunting;;
(39) - Like stated above, hunting isn't her best quality, but she can do it.
Medicine;;
(12) - Lakefrost knows little to nothing about herbs and medicine aside from a few basic remedies, such as cobwebs to stop bleeding and juniper for bellyache.
Belief in StarClan;;
(80) - She isn't the most religious cat in her Clan but does call on StarClan when she's in a time of trouble.
Belief in Place of No Stars;;
(40) - Once again, Lakefrost isn't extremely religious and doesn't really believe in the Dark Forest.
Personality Traits;;
Devoted;; Lakefrost is fiercely loyal to her Clan and is equally devoted. Her main goal is to provide everything she can for ShadowClan every day until she must retire to the elders' den. She never makes promises to her Clanmates if she feels like she won't be able to keep them. It would take a lot of force and persuasion to cause her to go behind ShadowClan's back - it's no surprise to any cat that she's never before broken the code.
Confident;; She is a quite confident young cat, feeling as if she and her Clan are always on the top of the form. She might not be very good at boosting another's confidence, say, but keeps her own high. Encouraging others isn't her profession but Lakefrost tries to create confidence throughout her Clan. After all, who's to stop them from being the best?
Efficient;; If there's one cat who will be guaranteed to get the job done, it's Lakefrost. Like stated above, she's very devoted and won't take an excuse for an answer. She also doesn't put up with loitering around, and even though she can be a little pushy at times, makes sure that everything is done fully and properly.
Sarcastic;; Practically every cat in ShadowClan knows of Lakefrost's sarcasm. She gets a little carried away with it sometimes, but doesn't really care, as she views it as only making a joke.
Competitive;; Lakefrost is a very competitive cat. This is good when it's against other Clans, of course, but her competitivity doesn't ebb away when she's in the ShadowClan camp. Who can reach the edge of the territory first? Who can catch a bigger mouse, and then eat it faster? Lakefrost can be seen creating or participating in little competitions like these practically every day.
Proud;; She has always been very proud of her accomplishments and has boasted ever since she was a kit. Even at Gatherings, Lakefrost will be found describing and exaggerating how she caught two mice at a time, or scared away an apprentice from another Clan with nothing but a glare.
Stubborn;; Lakefrost is very stubborn. She doesn't like being disagreed with, and it takes a lot for her to admit to defeat. Even if, at some point, the brown she-cat realizes her fault, it's likely that she won't give in.
Defensive;; Going hand-in-hand with her stubbornness, Lakefrost is extremely defensive - not only over herself, but over her Clanmates as well. She'll throw insult after insult at a cat from another Clan when provoked, but if the favor is returned to her, well...the cat at the end of her claws won't be having the best day.
Blunt;; Lakefrost isn't the cat that'll lie about her opinion. If she's asked how she feels about something, she'll tell it how it is. This hurts feelings, of course, but Lakefrost doesn't know why - after all, if she's asked for her thoughts, what good would it do to not give them?
Background Information;;
Prologue;; Mudpaw and Hushpaw weren't friends as apprentices, seeing as Mudpaw was a good four moons older than Hushpaw. No, they were merely acquaintences - after all, Mudpaw was too busy completing dares to worry about Hushpaw or her sister Quietpaw. The two she-cats were very close, seeing as they were the only kits in their litter. MudHpaw and his two brothers towered over Hushpaw and Quietpaw, and they were very intimidating - the sisters stayed away from them.
During one Leaf-Bare, after they had all become warriors, poor, feeble Quietlake caught a bought of greencough. The deadly disease seemed to have gladly taken her, claiming her life only a day after she had become ill.
Naturally, Hushwater was devastated at the loss of her sister, her friend. Surprisingly, however, the cat to comfort her most was none other than Mudsplash, who apparently had had a little crush on her for quite a while. Over time Hushwater regained control over herself and realized that she and Mudsplash did indeed love each other. Mudsplash, who Hushwater had considered a roughhouser as an apprentice, was very gentle with her, and she admired him for it. He, on the other hand, loved the fact that he could easily protect Hushwater.
The Clan wasn't surprised when Hushwater announced her pregnancy. She and Mudsplash both were ecstatic to learn that there were three tiny kits squirming in Hushwater's belly, and when they came, they were very happy.
Kithood;; Lakekit, named after Quietlake, Petalkit, and Alderkit were close as kits. Lakekit and Alderkit would often play-fight, whereas Petalkit, who was considerably more gentle, would sit and watch, squealing things such as "no! Don't do that - Hushwater'll have a fit if she sees any scratch-marks!" Greencough struck yet again in Hushwater's family. Petalkit, who was just as feeble as Quietlake, had been snatched away by the disease as well. Lakekit and Alderkit didn't know how to mourn properly, so they just sat and watched as their mother sobbed and wept, comforted only by Mudsplash, who would often steer them away from their mother to give her some peace.
Other than the loss of her young sister, Lakekit's kithood was uneventful. She and Alderkit got into trouble numerous times, of course, due to dares and challenges made by each other.
Apprenticeship;; Lakekit became Lakepaw and Alderkit Alderpaw, being mentored under Maplesong and Duststripe respectively. They often trained together - under the influence of their mentors, of course, who were also sister and brother and just as competitive. Lakepaw and her brother were both quick learners and their skills seemed to be equivalent.
Moons passed and as their skills developed, Lakepaw and Alderpaw both became very talented young cats. After approximately six moons of warrior training, they were ready to recieve and deserving of their full warrior names.
Warriorhood (in progress);; Lakefrost and Alderstone became warriors and spent their traditional silent vigil together. They've only been warriors for a short while now, but have proved their loyalty to ShadowClan numerous times. Lakefrost loves hunting, patrolling, and even fighting with her brother. She was ecstatic to recieve her own apprentice, Valerianpaw, and works hard to train her properly.
