Sacré bleu! Meet Batroc the Leaper, the master of the style of kickboxing known as Savate! Which I assume if regular kickboxing with thicker French accents.⁣

Georges Batroc is a French costumed mercenary who most often causes headaches for Captain America, but does get around to annoying other Marvel heroes. Batroc frequently hires other costumed goons to fill out his "Batroc's Brigade" to help him in assignments. But they are usually goofballs like The Porcupine (a guy literally dressed up in a quill-covered porcupine suit) or Razorfist (a guy with no hands who just said "screw it, I'm getting swords for hands). Presumably to make himself look less silly by comparison.⁣

And yes, Batroc looks pretty silly...but he was doing kickboxing a couple decades before John Claude Van Damme came on the scene, so give him some props folks!⁣⁣
