OPERATION GALACTIC STORM part 8:⁣

So Captain America and the West Coast Avengers team saved Rick Jones from the double threat of a murderous Kree Sentry and a squad of Shi’ar Imperial Guardsmen. The Sentry got explodified but good, however the Shi’ar got what they came for: part of the powerful Kree Psyche-Magnatron device ….and they escaped into space.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But that’s okay! The Avengers have a guy on the team that just does crazy space stuff: the quantum-powered Wendell Vaughn, known as Quasar. So they, like, give him a call and tell him to stop the Shi’ar. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
As he caught up to them, though, they open a wormhole gate near the Sun and disappear. Not only that, but the Sun emits a bizarre and worrisome black discharge. I had an uncle that happened to once…wasn’t pretty.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Anyway, Quasar talks to some space science people and finds out the Shi’ar Stargate is causing our Sun to get sort of explodey. So that’s real bad, right? You’d think stopping all that would be priority #1 for a space hero, but no…he gets a call that Avengers reservist Starfox has reported a break-in at the moon-based tomb of Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel. You’d think “explodes Sun” would outweigh “dead guy’s stuff gets stolen,” but hey, what do I know?⁣⁣

Quasar arrives quickly and teams-up with Starfox, only to find two Kree nogoodniks he knows well: former Captain Marvel enemy, Doctor Minerva and this guy, her lover and partner, Att-Lass, better known as “Captain Atlas.” Cool name, but I would have gone with "Captain Blueface McPornstache."⁣⁣
