We could use a few of these to cool us off right about now.

Thanks so much, Kabu. When I first read the results, I thought I came in 2nd. But even that would have been a thrill for me. I'm flabbergasted.

Isn't it great to win even if you don't win anything tangible?

It's always great to be picked by a group of talented people for creating something they enjoy! I'm honored, really, that people whose art I have watched and drooled over, liked something I did. I feel a little like Sally Field "You like me, you really like me", said with astonished glee!

Thank you, that is truly an honor. I do know how you feel. I remember how my jaw would drop at some of the fractals I saw. I didn't think I would ever get it. And now those same people are faving some of my work. It makes me feel like I have gotten somewhere, you know?

You have gotten more than somewhere. Your work has made my jaw drop! Your "Fountains at Bellagio", just to name one of many, is just amazing. The feeling of light and movement is magic!

You should see my first fractal. You will laugh out loud! And to think I thought it was beautiful ...
You have some beautiful fractals, and they are getting better and better. I know that soon I will be drooling over yours as well

Thank you, Kabu. I know what you mean about your first fractal. I felt the same way. The first time an image popped out of Tierazon, I was like "WOW, I made a fractal"! I was so pleased with myself for finally beginning to understand how the software worked. Now that I have been playing around with these for a few months, I want to revisit some of my earlier pitiful attempts and see if I can kick them up a notch! I hope I can make you drool, like you do to me. After all,turn-about is fair play.

Thank you, Roz! I was so excited! It's the little things in life that make me happy and this is one that I was really thrilled about.

Unfortunately, my submission for this week's WTC: Magic Carpet Ride can't be considered, because I was a tad late sending it in. I updated the comment under it to explain what happened. But never mind, this is great!

I guess my carpet can't be considered because I won this week - DOHH! But I don't mind. I'm really happy for the win this week!

sweet! very neat.

A greater height to width image size might frame it better (eg 1024x1280?)

Thank you, zweeZwyy. Yes, you're probably right, but for some reason I am partial to landscape images. Maybe because they fit better on the desktop like that. But, perhaps, this is one that could have been set off a bit with a cool frame with a greater height to width size.

Yes, I think the image should dictate the frame, not fondly held notions. Mind you, you could have set it in a landscape frame with decorative vertical side bars that complimented the idea, or wasn't that allowed?
