This is really badass! I like the fact that you put full fingered gloves as opposed to fingerless for one.

I was wondering if you had a full body version of this character in this outfit.

Oh damn! He's as broad as a barn!  I really like the shading and muscles, and the way you did the metal parts as well! Though I must say that something about the axe feels... off... For starters, it would be the hole in the blade, and the semi-circular cut-out in the edge. Then it would look just fine. Maybe it's that I look at a lot of historical axes, that have fairly narrow "necks" between the eye and the edge. Maybe the haft is a little off-center, too.

Other point of criticism would be the hero-belt. While I love the design, I can't help but to think that it would be kinda impossible to put on and maybe even bend in, as it seems to be as one solid piece of metal. How would it, well, fit him? If it was divided into the central disc, and divided into smaller plates, attached by the smaller rivets to a leather backing, it would feel much better, in my opinon! Also, from expirience, I can say that having an axe frog/loop on the belt, and some form of container for bare necessities is damn nice thing to have.

Also, the gloves... If I remember correctly, the stitching would be between the fingers, not on top of them. Imagine how would you sew the pieces between the fingers? But I like the leather wraps around the forearms!

Thanks for taking the time to give me some constructive criticism, I'ts greatly appreciated. You bring up a lot of good points, but I don't know if I ever intended to be pitch perfect with this piece, probably just went with it and said meh that'll do pig that'll do. : ) I'll keep some of the things you wrote in mind for next time though.

Of course! I sometimes... go with how things go when forging as well. I do understand that it is a speed-painting, and an awesome one. Altough you asked for critique, so I tried to give you one.

Now, some more points that I see when looking at it again, just a few more things.
The strap going over the shoulder seems to be paper-thin in comparison to the thongs around the gloves. It appears as if it was... well, 2D. One would expect the strap going over so much muscle-mass to be thick! But that brings me o an idea that he could maybe carry a knife on it, or something.

Once again I must say that I like the way you do metal texture. And also, having read that you are partially colourblind from other works of yours (I really like your landscapes. ), this may be why I feel you have an unusual colour palette, and also the way you highlighted the orc's body.

 And I'm happy to help.
