OTL Ended up leaving SnS mostly because I felt absolutely no connection with my character and was quite reluctant to RP her. Sorry~

Personality: Possibly unfitting for her position, Kemuri has a warm and trusting personality. She is gentle, caring (although rather awkwardly) and willing to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone. However, it does not take much to make her act cold and harsh and it takes a lot for her to forgive any slights to her person and those she cares about. She is insecure about her appearance but refuses to act like it, not wanting to appear as one of those girls who spend all of their time worrying about their appearance. She is generally a laid back person.
Likes: Bathing at the bath house, star gazing, watching the entertainers, using her swords, smoking, being on break
Dislikes: People who hurt others without reason, when what she says is ignored, people who fuss about their appearance, her scars
History: Kemuri, originally called Arisu, and her twin brother, Akihiro, were born to a noble, samurai family. Her family was loving and caring, raising their children in a loving environment. Her brother was a very sickly child who struggled to breathe properly and could not do much, generally spending his time indoors.

When they came of age, her father decided that her brother was to be trained in the way of the samurai as it was tradition in her family for the father to teach the son. She begged her father to allow her to join in, as she did not want her entire life to be about being a good wife, and her father eventually agreed. Arisu began to surpass Akihiro because of his illness.

When Arisu was a teenager, strife broke out between the Samurai families and her brother was going to be forced to fight. Knowing he would be killed because of his illness, she took his place - cutting her hair and wearing her brother's clothes as the two looked very similar anyway. Nobody knew

Then one night her family's ancestral home was attacked, the enemy slaughtering her unprepared family. She grabbed her weapons and ran to Akihiro so she could lead her brother away. However, their escape was cut off and Arisu was forced to fight an opponent much better than herself. He was the oner who slashed her face and gave her her scars. She was soon defeated and left to die whilst Akihiro was dragged away. The attackers set fire to her home and she had no chance of escaping.

After her death, she was reborn as an Enenra - a smoke spirit. Her family was nowhere in sight and she was left to wander, lost, with nowhere to go. She soon learned only the pure of heart could see her and was dismayed to find how many people could not see her. It was years before she met a human who was pure of heart and her loneliness began to overwhelm her. Then she met a young girl who treated her kindly and called her Kemuri, meaning smoke. Kemuri was overjoyed to meet someone who could finally see her and was reluctant to leave her. The girl convinced her that it would be better for her to leave this town that Kemuri had roamed for years and to meet others liker her. Kemuri accepted and soon left.

She met other creatures of legend, some of whom taught her the ways of her new world and showed her how to take a human form. She began to continue her studies of sword fighting. Kemuri hoped she would one day meet Akihiro again when he was a spirit. Kemuri had no real purpose for a while and was told of the sanctuary that was the Bath House. She decided to go there and plead for a job. She would have a purpose again and, hopefully, one day someone who could tell her news of Akihiro would go to the Bath House.

Additional info: - Her fighting style relies more on agility and speed rather than brute strength
- She wears the witch's regalia on her back. It is held in place by the red ribbon. It covers the area where her swords are tucked into her belt.
- Kanji reads 'Protect'. Or something. I don't actually remember.
