Description
This is my 3d render of the Macross series ARMD platforms. Rather happy with how it came out
Modeled and rendered in Lightwave 7.5I believe the backdrop is originally from space.com. Not 100% sure cause I made this ages ago. If you're the original artist or represent any party with rights over that image and need me to remove the background (or credit someone in particular), please let me know and it will be done immediately.

Do you mind if I use this image as a header for a roleplaying campaign on Obsidian Portal? I may never actually find time to run it, but I had an idea about using an ARMD-class vessel as the main ship in an RPG campaign. Basically, between the loss of SDF-1 and the construction of Terran fold-capable ships one of the first Teran-refitted fold drives salvaged from Zentraedi vessels is tested on one of the few ARMD ships to survive the Zentraedi Holocaust. This vessel, UES Saratoga (CV-06) misfolds and ends up inadvertantly scouting the path to Tirol for the Pioneer Mission.

Wolfmage - Do you mind if I use this as the header for a Robotech campaign I may or may not get to run on Obsidian Portal? I'm thinking of doing an ARMD Platform (CV-06, UES Saratoga) lost in space after the UN Spacy uses it to test a terran-refitted fold drive prior to building the ships for the Pioneer Mission (SDF-3.)

Yay! This was one of the first models I ever made, just cuz I loved watching these guys blow up. I didn't modernize it like this awesomeness, mostly I made it because I needed something for my ships to blow to crud
Whenever you see the ARMD, you can always rest assured it will be fragged!

Well Jor-Dan, this is actually and ARMD from the japanese Macross series, as they're seen in Macross: DYRL, and its sequels, Macross II and Macross Plus (its a bit more complicated than that but I really don't want to go into the whole entangled Robotech/Macross/Macross II mess). So I can't take credit for the modernized design.
In japanese Macross, the Deadalus and Prometheus are replaced by two ARMDs as the Macross arms; so now you know how to make and ARMD survive. Connect it to the Macross!
