Catherine was 17 when she got with Henry and just short of her 21st birthday when the ax fell. Immature as heck and flighty but she showed great dignity and maturity on the day of her execution.
Buried on the Tower grounds (like Anne ) I think her remains were later moved to a more honorable place, being a former queen and all.

Wouldnt an axe give her neck kind of a jagged look?

Nice.
Hers was a more clear-cut case than that of her cousin, Anne's, but still creepy.
I like how she looks serene yet slightly sad in this one. As if she understands the fate she was dealt, yet is still saddened by what might have been. You can almost hear her call out for her dear Thomas Culpeper...

This and the Anne Boleyn one are both stunning (and a little disturbing, but I'm sure that's what you were going for!) If you're looking for another one for this series, you might like the story of Queen Jane - she "ruled" after King Edward and before Mary (Bloody Mary), and was executed for usurping the throne, despite being a rather obvious puppet ruler.
Anyways, gorgeous work!

Actually, I probably will do Lady Jane Grey eventually. For a while I was unsure as to how this series would continue -- whether it would continue to depict Henry's wives or continue to depict decapitated queens -- so I put it aside for a few months. Since then, dark soul that I am, I have decided on decapitated queens.
A handful of people have actually suggested Lady Jane Grey to me -- enough that I've decided to take the hint and do one of her probably.... next? There will also definitely be a Marie Antoinette. Beyond that, I haven't decided yet.

I like both Catherine and Anne images they are great. I admired them, they were women with high expectations, but their only problem was that once becoming a queen it was difficult to hide the love affairs. Ah well, that's life...they were unlucky (hmm i guess decapitation runs in the family, right?!)

I definitely agree! Both women were very much ahead of their time, in my opinion. Glad you liked the pieces... and thank you!

Ooo, I love the shiny axe the way you can see through the body... I know the two from a documentary on Henry VIII... Rather disturbing, but this picture is just brill.
