Description
Name: Spider Rock
Location: Though living in rocky terrain would be more suited to their appearance they find it hard to move around over boulders/stones and are more likely to be found in light forested areas.
Rarity: Uncommon.
Size: Size can vary but most tend to be around 2-3 feet.
Taste: The Rock Spider has a highly desired taste similar to Beef and despite it's appearance it is very meaty under it's stone shell.
Danger Level: High.
Poisonous: Indirectly.
Any extra traits: The Spider Rock has a very thick, hard shell that is almost impossible to break and when attacked can lock itself down very much like a limpet. The only way to remove the meat from inside The Spider Rock is to try from underneath. This plant is carnivorous but since it can't directly attack anything and leave itself vulnerable it secretes thin 'webs' of paralysing, corrosive liquid from the 'cracks' in it's shell. This is where it get's it's Spider name. The web traps the creatures that are unfortunate enough to stumble across it and starts to dissolve/decompose them so that when the Spider Rock makes it's next trip around it's web it can eat whatever has been left on the lines with the mouth on it's stomach. The 'Webs' can cover more distance the larger the Spider Rock is.

Okay, so this is my entry to =Drayok 's Fennedible contest entry. Now, the picture might not seem very interesting but I actually put a surprising amount of thought into this little critter. Having been through about 3 different designs I decided to stick with this someone simple idea, which is a little boring I guess.. since it's essentially a rock.

I tried to make the picture look like a page from a book or field guide. I was going to hand write the information that's on there but my handwriting is actually terrible, so I did you all a favour.

Anyway, I also think there is a little too much information on there, but ideas need to be written down gosh darn it! Hope it's all understandable, I tend to rabble. Like now. Any questions, i'll try and answer them XD
