Ability: Sand Rush/Sand Force

My entry for 's contest for making up a new pokemon that evolves from an existing one with a fossil.

First, I'd like to say that I've decidedly stayed uninformed of the newest Pokemon-generation, as I want to find out all that when playing the game, so if there's anything similar to this, it's a coincidence.

So, I've been kinda wondering how the Venusaur family would look without the flower, and from there what could displace it. Inspiration for this stems from animals such as Dimetrodon [link] as well as any animals adapted for life in caves, what with the lighter coloration. I was wondering if I should make it eyeless, but in the end decided against it, to keep more of the look of it's family intact.

BTW, the name comes from QUARTZ + SAUR = QUARTZAUR
