What must it feel like to be drowning in a cell?...
Drawn on break at Dairy Queen over the course of a few months. First official drawing of 2011~
Med: Mechanical pencil and cap eraser.
Picture taken with camera, but I'll scan one when I have money for a scanner. OTL

the subtlety is impressive, when ever I try being that delicate I just loose it. I really like the texture in the hair.

Thank you! My finger is my best friend when it comes to shading. You can get a lot of gradual values with smudging~ About a month or so of swirling with a pencil for the hair.

The hair and shading on this is amazing. The anatomy looks pretty spot on as well. This must have taken a lot of love and hours to complete but is so worth it. <3

It was mostly dark at first and then I decided to try to make her underwater, so it killed me erasing some of it, but I think it made it turn out nice~ I'm glad you like it!

Oh. That must have been horrible. You should have taken a picture if what you had. I'm sure it would have looked awesome either way. I like it very much. I wish my shading was that good..<3 I'm looking forward to seeing more of your works.

I've learned that you can't be scared to make extreme decisions in art~ Leap before you look!
Shading isn't that hard to do~ I just use my fingers and smudge, draw some cross hatching, then smudge some more until I get a good value-contrast that I like.

That's some good wisdom :3 I still have trouble doing that though.
I shade lightly so even if I get everything accurate people still say it looks weird. Your fingers are the best tool to shade with definately.

Brilliant, Wolftrest! I like the oxygen bubble escaping her mouth and the attention to detail with the hair. Must have taken quite a while on that hair, yes it must have!
