To me, the greatest emotion isn't love, fear, or sadness, it's contentment. To be content, my life doesn't have to be perfect, and I don't have to be surrounded by happiness at all times. The sad things won't bother me any more than they should and when things go wrong, I know it will be okay. I don't need to be surrounded by love, I just want to be content, which is the greatest level of happiness I think anyone can achieve.
When I was small, my mom and dad wouldn't be home and my sisters would be away, so I'd stay at home under the table, drawing pictures of a sky that I would imagine myself flying away in even if I knew it wasn't possible. I felt lonely at times, but I was content with my life and wouldn't of wanted it any other way. So even if your life isn't perfect, if you can find contentment in the little things in life, you'll be happy.

Medium: Color Pencils and gel pen. 4-5 weeks of coloring on break at work and at home when I couldn't sleep.
