I like your use of perspective, I can never fit a character into a scene, what helps you?

I just try to think of where a character is in space or what they're doing. I drew JW first and built he world around him. Sometimes I draw the background first and then populate it with characters. Try looking at stills from movies or comic book frames and see how the artist has placed the characters in the world.

Gotta keep on trying! It helps if you have your character interacting with the scenery as well so they don't just look like a sticker put on the page.

I love how you portray him doing such a mundane thing as putting on his saddle, and how difficult it is. It is friggin' adorable. I also always, always love your backgrounds. They're so gritty and real. Like I can easily see someone walking down that crooked boardwalk by those rickety houses at night. I just love the atmosphere.
