Did you ever see the movie "Blood and Chocolate"? It's based in Romania and it's about a secret society of people who shapeshift into wolves. It's one of my favorite movies. It's not really a werewolf movie, though it has some of that legendary werewolf stuff, but they can actually turn into real wolves at will. They used real wolves in the making of the movie too.

He was really such a beautiful wolf when I last saw him. It took my breah away. I just couldn't take my eyes off him.I look at pictures now and you can see how he has aged. I think of all his progeny Reudi comes closest to his beauty.

Yeah, I first saw him as a yearling pup. He has aged, that is true. I was sad to hear him be deposed, but, well for the Park, his genetics being passed on and intermixed as a good thing.

The years go by in a blink. He was alpha for about 6 years though. He seems happy in retirement from what I see of him in pictures and reports from others who have seen him.

Thank you! He was truly the MOST gorgeous wolf. He is getting on in years now. He and his progeny reside at Wolf Park in Battle Ground Indiana. His son Ruedi is as beautiful as Tristan was in his young years.

He was a handsome boy when I met him in 2002. He's one of the old ones now at Wolf Park. Time passes too quickly. Just like with dogs, they inspire us to love them, but don't live nearly long enough. I'm pleased you like my painting and that you're another Tristan enthusiast.

I fell in love with him the first time I saw him. I don't think I had ever seen such a beautiful wolf. And they are all beautiful, so that is saying a lot! I was an Alyeska sponsor, but went home and started sponsoring Tristan too, then a year later added Erin.

My plan is to add Tristan back in to the wolves I sponsor. I tried to spread my sponsorship by age. So I have an old wolf, Fluffy, one of Tristan's kids Ruedi, and the new puppy Dharma. I'll add Tristan probably next month. Don't want all those sponsorship fees coming in at the same time next year! It feels good to be back sponsoring. I had about 5 really rough years, just couldn't afford it. But getting back on track finally and back to priorities.
