A freshly finished homework assignment...the assignment here was to use an analogous color scheme (ygreen, green, and bgreen in this case) and break it with a compliment (red). The series has been focusing on a little white throated sparrow who can't find another sparrow to hang out with. :<I LEARNED THINGS: You can't use watercolor over clear gesso. Don't try to use microns over gesso either. Also, colored pencil over gesso is WEIRD.
MEDIA: India ink, graphite, gesso, fixative, watercolors, microns, white gel pen, and colored pencil on bristol paper, 6x9 inches.

Ooh, Michigan...are you at CCS? I know what you mean, though; last year this was done in pretty much the ONLY class which allowed for personal, creative compositions. They probably did it that way because all of the majors are squished together in freshman year.

I'm across the state at Kendall, actually. I know some kids who are going, or have gone to CCS though. I need to get more of my school work up. I've been able to include my pets in a few assignments

This is so adorable! I love the colors and how the birds stand out with their intense red colors against the green and yellow background. Such a beautiful, spacey atmosphere.
