If nothing happens, it'll be such a boring Story...

Say, it just occurred to me; Soorn had a mate and daughter at some point...how long has it been since they passed away?

Wollfisch In reply to AMCAlmaron [2015-12-15 15:23:04 +0000 UTC]

Soorn's wife and daughter are long gone. It'll be round about 150 - 200 years at this point. Soorn is old enough to be Staceel's grandfather

Ah, right. I was wondering if it was recent; whether the scars would still be fresh and all that.

Hmm...a potentially sad thought, but have you thought about where he buried them? Off the top of my head, I'm picturing a quiet little grove with two big rocks sticking out of the ground and marking their burial spot, and Soorn could go here every now and then to tend the graves and just be with his family...he could even take Staceel there at some point. I'm sort of thinking like in the ending of this comic? cheezburger.com/215557

, did I ever send you that link? Feels...

Actually, I have no idea ^_^' I'm not sure he burried them at all... Eh, what scars?

AMCAlmaron In reply to Wollfisch [2015-12-17 17:55:20 +0000 UTC]

Emotional scars and all that; if they'd only been dead for a short while by the time Staceel was born, it might have pained him somewhat to see these adorable hatchlings.

Wollfisch In reply to AMCAlmaron [2015-12-18 16:04:06 +0000 UTC]

Ah, New I understand. there are no emotional scars, there are wide open wounds. But he would never be sad about hatchlings in any way

Aww, poor Soorn...but at least he's not sad about hatchlings.

Aw, darnit; I'll send it to you again later. It's a cute little comic; a Charmander hatches and is cuddled by his Charizard father...but his father's actually a Ditto, so there's a montage of him raising his son in all these different forms depending on what the situation calls for, and then at the end, they visit the mother's grave with flowers.

AMCAlmaron In reply to Wollfisch [2015-12-17 17:56:31 +0000 UTC]

Perhaps Soorn could have something like that for his mate and daughter? Two stones under a tree in a lovely little grove which he can go and visit every now and then? Considering how old he is, the pain of it all has probably long passed, so he can fly in for a quick visit, speak to their graves, and then fly off without feeling sad.

This is just such a nice idea, but I'm affraid, there is no grave, he didn't burried them. It's just another thing that bothers him. Sorry, bad english.

Ah, darn...hmm, does he have anything of theirs to remember them by? Heh, sorry, I know I'm going on, but I do like this sort of story element...heck, I ended up writing one for where Ddraig gets to be with the spirit of her dead mother for a night;  Gift Art - Ddraigtanto: ClosureAUTHOR NOTE: The following story takes place several years after the events of "Unus Ad Alterum", by which point in time Ddraig and Alexander (Lord Greywater) have had a son; Elwynn. It should be envisioned as taking place in the middle of another story; one in which Malefor has made another attempt at world domination, and on a much larger scale than the last time, but has just been defeated by a large force of dragons in a lengthy battle. Schakri was present at this battle, and scuffled with Ddraig before being defeated along with Malefor. As a consequence of Malefor's defeat, Nightshade has been freed from his influence, and she has been brought to Avalaria Palace - Ddraig and Alexander's royal residence - to recover alongside the Avalarian Royal Family. When she retires to another chamber with Cynder and Spyro, Ddraig and Alexander return to their own rooms in an attempt to calm down after the stress of the day.
From her nest, Ddraig grumbled. It was late; moonlight streamed

Yes, I remember that one. I don't think he got something to remember them. Helion89 wrote a story about them. In one part, Soorn met their ghosts/spirits. I love this story, but it's completly different from what I'm planning

Unfortunately not. He sent me all the chapters as a note, but didn't upload it yet. I guess he's still working on it, changing little thing or adding some more details to the story, stuff like this. I don't know if he would like me to send you single chapters before it is all finised, but you could aks him about it. This is his account: helion98.deviantart.com/

I know, but it's still very beautiful! I was suggesting to Wollfy that Soorn could have a little grove somewhere like the Charizard and Ditto did where his lost family are buried, just so he can go there like them and drop off some flowers every now and then. Ddraig will certainly be able to do the same with her mother's tree, and like the Pokemon there, she'll be able to do so and remain smiling...in the past, it would have hurt too much, but now she knows for certain that her mother is there, and so she can talk with her and know she's listening, and also know that she's not gone forever; she'll get to see her again someday (and in her dreams, until then...perhaps Terrador could remind her of this Post-OSAS? I did forget to add the idea where she sees him to apologise and they both go to the shrine after Closure to the OSAS concept)...course, she'd still be a bit sad for a bit that she couldn't actually have her there physically, but after not having her for so long, I think she'd be happy for this, and would be able to move on soon enough, which would be what Selena would want, anyway.
