Description
Tyranitar is an exceedingly rare and ferocious bipedal carnivore possessed of a massive armored body; the largest specimen recorded measured up to 36 ft in length and up to 5.9 tons in weight. As might be supposed by their menacing appearance, Tyranitar are powerful apex predators, although they have been known to exhibit scavenging behavior in times of scarcity.

Little is known about wild Tyranitar due to their exceptional rarity, but over half of the known Tyranitar specimens die within six years of reaching sexual maturity. It is believed that the species is characterized by moderate infant mortality rates, with very low mortality among juveniles and adults.
