Description Peter Stormare as Gaear Grimsrud from Fargo. His coolest role ever.

Lately I've been watching my friends' copy of Prison Break and Stormare really is the best part of that show. (By the way, I'm only a few episodes into the second season, so no spoilers!!) Anyway, I realized that Storemare would be a really fun guy to draw, but decided to draw him from Fargo.

I'm trying a different style with this too, so hopefully it looks good.

I should really be studying for the GRE right now....

stormare's one of my favorite actors, how cool! he would make a great doc ock in the spider-man reboot, or a good penguin for batman... can you please draw him as doc ock?

Ooo... yeah.. he WOULD be pretty good. I cannot support a Spider-man reboot though. It's too soon! And up until #3 Raimi rocked that series.

yup, but, there's a chance to do ome stuff raimi missed in his films, and though i hate the reboot too, i have some faith, if they cast stormare or phillip seymour hoffman as the new doc ock, and have some more awesome casting like guy pearce as scorpion, and possibly mark strong or christoph waltz as green goblin, dominic purcell as sandman, wade williams as rhino, and of course, crispin glover as mysterio, and also if they give more time for the plot, make the plot more mature in content (not neccesarily darker or emo-ish or all "the dark knight", just less childish storytelling)... and anton yelchin as spidey!

haha. So are you going to be disappointed if those things DON'T happen? Cause you're setting yourself up.

nah, that's just fanboyism, although PSH is a very popular actor for doc ock, anton yelchin is on the shortlist for spidey, mark strong is probably the most popular villain actor, waltz is acsted right and left as villains after landa, and glover is just the perfect mysterio. better than buscemi, tennant, campbell or ribsi...

haha. Yeah. He excels at playing the lovable asshole. Did you ever see Prison Break? Similar character. Total jerk, but he grows on you.

Yeah. The show isn't exactly amazing. Kind of addictive though.

Personally one of my favorites of his characters was the Russian cosmonaut in Armageddon.

I loved him as the Russian guy, too. "Russian components, American components, they're all made in Taiwan!"

No I haven't yet. My roommate actually thought that's who I was working on when I tried to describe the drawing though ("the creepy guy from Prison Break"). He's a pretty original looking guy.

I love the line work. Seriously. Sometimes people have outines where the thickness varies but in the wrong places... you don't have that...

Thanks! I'm glad to hear that. I'm always paranoid about that. Luckily I took a few drawing classes at the university that helped me figure out where to go thin and thick.

This is really cool man! Definitely his best role, I agree, he's awesome in that movie. I like this style ... looks like it could be a screen shot from "Fargo: The Animated Series: A Prequel: Before Everyone Was Dead: The Movie".

I actually took your advice on the inking that you showed me in Photoshop, and then started using it in flash, and then coloring in the lines. Worked pretty well!
