Description One interesting effect I made. Looks kind of like fire or something. You can use two input fields to change 2 variables of the script. First is of how many dots are created per frame. Second one controls how long dots exist. I do not recommend big values because that can hang your computer.

Ouh you are interested in how i made this effect with hmmm merged particles? Well I have 4 layers with movieclips on each. I create 1 particle for each layer but in one coordinate. Then on each frame I move one particle in tope layer, make it smaller and so on. And then copy all the changes to other three particles in different layers. So when two particles overlap instead of being one above another they merge...

About giving out a source. Well I decided some time ago that I will give out my sources as kiriban thing. There was one on 5K and next will be at 10K. So sorry but I need to keep it right. I gave the idea to you and I hope it will help.

Source no but I can tell you the idea. Main object is particle which flies by some formula (in my case it is simple linear formula for y and adjusted cosine for x) then I have 4 layers and 4 circles in library. On each frame I use formula for particles and then put their circles to new coordinates. Effect is achieved because all type of circles is in their own layer.
PS - If you wont achieve it your self you won’t truly learn how it is done I gave you all needed tips

fair enough. i had no intention of just using it from the source i never do. its a concept that i played around with some time ago to create the illusion of blobs mixing together but never really got it working effectively. thanks for the tips though.

Hmm. It doesn’t seem to be so hard. In my case 4 layers. 4 container(empty movie clip) After that is simply attach to them. There is one onEnterFrame in root who moves them... I think you will make it some day if you really want to
Bout flash mobile. I heard one more thing. I am trembling when I thin about it Few Flash professionals requested 3D video card support. It is no 100% true but is heard that they are thinking on this problem so may be after year or two we may get our hands on Flash Direct 3D or something D D

cant say im too yp to date with flash news in that sense but i would imaging it might be a while if ever flash suports direct 3D working. at the moment macromedia/adobe have a prog for 3d called i belive director. its what is used to make flash Shockwave games. but im not to knowing about that so if your interested look into that.

but yeah at the mo flash 3d is like lots and lots of code to make 3d engines.

If you want to work with 3D you will need to know a lot bout 3D math and many other things any way. 3D card support won't help you with that. But 3D cards have predesigned effects like shaders, anty-analising, HDR and many others. It is firs point why it will be good. Second one is that it will really speed up flash when it works with complex graphic. 3D card has its own memory and processor and all flash graphic will be processed on it. AS I said I am trembling when thing about such future for Flash

ahh i c what you mean. yeah that would be kewl. it would help if i had a decent 3d card or evena decent graphics card though. (still using crapy on board graphics shit that ships with the pc) damn it sucks. but yeah that would be kewl.
