You're presuming that she has chosen to be in a relationship. Just because there are opportunities does not mean someone will take every single one. Sometimes being single is just the wisest choice.

Your right!  I am single definitely by choice.  I'm independent and always far happier and joyful then one should be allowed to be.

I know what you mean, I'm the same in that area. There's a peace and joy in being single that I don't see almost any partnered people enjoying. I think so many young people mess up their lives unnecessarily by getting into partner relationships when really all they want and are capable of handling at those ages are sexual relations, lol. Not all of them are like that of course, just many.

Wood-Splitter-Lee In reply to MojoLiazon [2014-02-08 04:47:42 +0000 UTC]

Wise of you!  I completely understand, I believe in waiting till one is married before having those kind of relations.  A lot of young people tend to not fully get to know the other person ether before jumping right into a relationship and then regretting it later.  Another reason to wait!

lol, we are in complete agreement here! Talk about avoidable misery... But those who leap from one relationship to the next don't seem to understand that. I'm the same as you in this way.

Probably the wisest  thread I have ever read on Deviantart.   Another advantage is no kids (or STDs).

Also being born in Alaska I have some experience with splitting wood.  Also being dyslexic I am familiar with with some of the interesting aspects of it, then again their are about 1000 different types of dyslexia, were all different

Ok, something tells me you're not in Alaska anymore. That looks like an Oak round behind you. I'm a little disappointed, but that is one wicked swing you got there! Where did you live when you were here?

Wood-Splitter-Lee In reply to mnshortdraw [2013-07-02 03:18:05 +0000 UTC]

Yes unfortunately I'm not in Alaska at this present time. This photo was taken in the south. I was born and raised in Alaska but after I travel a bit more, I will be moving back home to Alaska. There is no other that can even come close to compare.

I was raised in northern Minnesota so Kodiak is sub tropical to me in the winter and perfectly comfortable in the summer. I completely understand how you would like to come back here. You have got to be dying of heat stroke down there! Did you just decide to travel or what drew you away?

Wood-Splitter-Lee In reply to mnshortdraw [2013-07-03 03:20:44 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow! Yes I cannot handle heat well at all, I break out in tiger stripe heat rashes. I moved with my family a few years back to the south, I plan on traveling to New Zealand and from there back home.

Ahh, well enjoy NZ, that is somewhere I've always wanted to visit. A few of my friends have gone there after Red Deer. I can't take the heat anymore either. Give me jeans and sweatshirt weather all year long and I'm happy!

Idk if its just the way your hair is falling from the fierce swing your making but it looks like an epic style that you should emulate looks good on ya! in any case if it is your style it pretty freaking original I've never seen it and I'm friends with a girl who has done her hair every which way imaginable! lol

I love the castle's and ancient buildings here but that's it for me.

Whoa, arms! Heh, clearly I missed out on the benefits of splitting wood (just a wilderness runner/climber here).

Fav'd for the story behind it (in the comments) that ties it together.

This makes me laugh because it reminds me soo much of my childhood. Of course my dad usually split the wood but we hauled so much wood every fall we got sick of it fast. Love your artwork.
