Your carvings are the best I have seen by a modern day carver, really up there with some of the old masters of carving, the form and proportions in your carvings are perfect, something which I think separates the good from the excellent carvers.
May I ask two questions?
How long have you been carving for?
Do you ever sell any or is it just something you when you feel like it?

Thas for the approving words
I started a little when I was about fourteen. Earlier was not easy because of the sharp tools and it had not my real interest. My interest was in the forrest. My father worked at home and carved his whole live so I could help him sometimes with the drawings and sawing the figures so that he could work faster. that was all. When I was 17 I started a little with carving the old woodenshoes from my father. When I was 18 I carved 10 footwarmers for my father as hollyday job. When 25 somebody asced me to carve a deer in a table plate. I liked that so I started to make woodcarve1. That was al I did in the 10 years after the start. When I was about 40 I took some chissels with me to the campground in Zwitserland. There I tryd to carve in a piece of firewood. That is Deer in siccamore. After that I made every year an animal only during my hollydays when we where resting at the campground. So it has grown. I take time to find a peace of wood and think about what to make next. When I have te intention to make something., time comes and till now its going better and better. The deer in tableplate was the only order. After that I made things and gave it to my children, friends as presents for example when they became 65 in line with their interests and so my inspiration. Maybe in future i will sell work. The realistic work comes because I love the nature and their proportions.

Oh wow, very cool. The detail is great. Carvings not for me, I'd end up breaking something off of it then have no idea what to do. x3
