full title : 'somethings are anything but relevant'finished this last night - 11x 14 inches of oil pastel...you can only imagine my mess. oh and this piece is comming from me (an arist whom loves to hate color)
dont have an entirely lot to say about this...

You have some supremely original ideas about the structure of what you paint. For instance, the structre that holds up the heart and the spiral that comes fromt he background to the foreground. Are you happy with it?

to answer your quest, yes i am satisfied to an extent with this work - this is only my 2nd pastel piece so i wish it was more refined or more of a smooth look

Very very expressive piece here. I actually like the combination of yellow and blues that give the vibrant greens. The swishing blue-tentacle things coming off the star are good and I like the caged heart, although I feel the dagger / sword could have a splash of colour to pronounce it more. I'm thinking maybe red along the outline to try and add a bit of extra colour and expression in that area of the photo, which carries along the theme of the heart and a dagger / sword being put through it. I think it may add a nice touch. Try it out with the airbrush and a colour closest to a vibrant red in your pastel range in Photohop first to see what it would look like before adding it to the original.
