Because I'm not going to waste time arguing with you, if you're just going to throw at me all the insults and name-calling you can think of.

You see, arguing for me is kind of a guilty-pleasure, because I can often learn a lot of stuff from the opposition. Either about their views or about the opposition themselves. So I'll be willing to debate with you, just as long as you're:
• not going to be butthurt/easily offended about what I say
• it's not going to be one-sided (e.g. "LA LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING TO YOUR SIDE OF THE ARGUMENT 'CAUSE UR WRONG. THAT'S WRONG. UR OPINION IS WRONG. I'M ALWAYS RIGHT. LA LA LA~ ")
• not going to throw insults and use ad hominids to debate. Because really, that does nothing for your side. It only makes you look extremely immature and an asshole. If you want to persuade me to see your viewpoint, don't insult me. You lose all credibility and thus, you lose the entire debate.

If you don't do any of that, I'm more than happy to debate with you. Because debating is fun and I like to learn new things from people's viewpoints.
