The artist is able to make an impact with a straight forward and simple approach. I like this piece because of the truth in its impact. I am a smoker and even though I know it is harmful I still smoke. The same framework of thinking is able to be found in person who drinks alcohol. It may not kill you the minute you digest it, but over time you are slowly killing yourself. I think this is a creative approach to opening up a person's mind to how harmful cigarettes can be. I do not think every person who smokes is suicidal. However, any person who continues harmful acts against them self is acting out a with a form of suicide's mentality.

i love this picture i am a smoker and the main reason i started was that it kills me slowly but surely. i am underage and i will have a short life span tahnks to my self destrution.

It's kinda minimalistic, without any fancy photoshop editing and all, but still it doesn't make me think "argh, another one? it's getting old".
The message can't be original but I guess there's something new to this, maybe thanks to that little heart. That spices it up somehow.
