The tiny, fluffy little bundle of contempt is complete. This guy is the first of our new cast gryphon kittens, based on some of our design sketches here:
This guy is sorta the 'first round' of gryphons we'll be doing, at various stages of development with the last being a large adult... also exceedingly grumpy.
He's fully poseable from his wings to his stumpy little kitten tail, with new cast resin head and fat feet from our original sculpts. He's roughly 8" long, and about 5" tall, hand painted and sealed and sewn with veggie friendly faux furs. We'll be taking a handful of these puffy little jerks with us to Toronto Comicon this coming March, and this fella in particular is available on etsy.

This guy's 'tude is SO all over his grumpy little face. His expression is PRICELESS. I love how you can derive so much emotion, from something that is so motionless. It's just an indication to master craftsmanship.

When we have 'em in stock they'll be $125, or a bit less for one without poseable wings. Custom orders will be more of course, but we haven't finalized that price yet.

OMG, how cute! He reminds me of the gryphons from Midsummer Knights Dream... its a shoulder puppet making company that typically hits the AZ Renny Faire. I'm sure they go to others, but that's the one I know.
He would make an awesome little puppet, I think.

Ah, I know the ones you mean. Really though, probably the only thing he's got in common with those is that he's a gryphon. They're actually very different in terms of articulation, sculpting, painting... we also don't use animal fur, and ours are sewn.

Oh, I know there areΒ big differences between yours and theirs, its just mainly some details inΒ the look of the face and beakΒ that remind me of the others. Make no mistake, yours are absolutely lovely!
